Reading # 4

I may say that I do like the ancient Greek better then ancient Egyptian sculptures; one of the reasons why I strongly choose the Greek is because, sculptors didn’t place their names on their works, so we have no idea who made them. In Greek sculpture we can see story behind the sculptures and also, se by whom it was made,

Also, one of the reason why I think that Greek sculptures are also, good is because, the materials that they used to make and build their sculptures were hard material like stone, marble, limestone, and clay  as these were abundant in Greek they had no problem getting it and using it over and over again to build. One of the process that they also used to achieve perfection in their way of building statue were the Geometric Art method, which is they made up formulas of math to make a perfect weight and also in leght in both arms so that one side wouldn’t be with much weight than the other side. I personally think that even though the “Greek works were similar to that of the Egyptians sculpture; the Greek works turn out to be better because, they made it their own. Example, some statues that were made, was sculpted by nude humans in a posing way. Even if some of their statue of god’s work were a little bit similar to the faces in the Egyptian, it was done in a unique style, with their own story behind each and every one of them.
