Baroque Impact on Japan

Art 11

Baroque art is a style of art that had its origins in Italy in the late 1500s.The artist who created art in the Baroque style was attempting to convey movement, emotion, and energy in the simplest and most realistic methods possible.

Some of the Baroque artists that I was looking through the website of Google were Caravaggio, Rembrandt , and Heyden. Based on what I learned from the performance about Baroque style, began in 16th and lasted in some areas until 1750. One of the artist that they talked about was Bernini he chose the most dramatic moment to convey the event, which in turn created a dynamic, theatrical energized work which occupies our space. One of the most intriguing things that Baroque style has is that the images are direct, obvious, and dramatic; Tries to draw the viewer in to participate in the scene. Also depictions feel physically and psychologically real. Emotionally intense. Dramatic contrast between light and dark, light and shadow.

I must say that for me personally I think Baroque style uses the motion and clear, easily interpreted detail to produce drama, tensions and other things. I must say that for me this style is the best in paintings and in sculptures too. What is also very relevant in this style is that the popularity and success of the baroque was encouraged by the Catholic church when it decided that the drama of the baroque artists styles could communicate religious themes in direct and emotional involvement.
